The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry “AAPD”, recommends that children begin to see a dentist by 1 year of age, or by the time their first tooth comes in. Why so early? Dr. Ryan believes if your child gets to know him from an early age, most fears of the dentist go away.

Most children start to get their adult teeth around age 6. Bye-Bye baby teeth, hello forever teeth! It is a very important time to make sure brushing and flossing habits are perfect!
It is also when Dr. Ryan can start to tell if your child’s adult teeth are developing normally and
when you can expect to see more.
