Pediatric Dentistry for Babies

On occasion babies and newborns need to see the dentist right away. Did you know some babies are born with teeth? No problem though, Dr. Ryan can help. We also treat babies who have “tongue-tie” or “lip-tie”.

Common reasons for a baby to see the dentist:

“Tongue-tie and “Lip-tie” are due to a tight “frenulum”. A frenulum is piece of skin that attaches to the tongue or lip — for some children the frenulum is very short, causing the tongue or lip to be “tied down”. A consultation is required to determine what the best treatment is.

“Neo Natal Teeth” are teeth that appear in a child’s mouth in their first 30 days of life. These teeth are often loose and can make breast feeding difficult. A consultation is required to determine what the best treatment is.

“Infantile Cysts” are bumps and lumps that appear in a baby’s mouth. Most of the time they are totally harmless and go away on their own. It is best to allow a trained professional to examine the cyst in person.

  Dr. Ryan came into the office in his day off to repair my son’s front adult tooth that was snapped off at the gum line during a school gym accident. He went the extra mile to help my son get his tooth glued back on and was empathetic and courteous. He checked up on him the next day and was available with any follow up questions.   What a fantastic place! It’s absolutely beautiful and super kid-friendly. Everything was so clean, and the staff? Just the sweetest! Everyone was warm, polite, and made us feel right at home. My little one felt totally comfortable and had a blast, especially with the fun goodies she got! The female dentist was amazing. She was so patient and kind. She took the time to answer all my questions and even taught me a few things I didn’t know. Honestly, this is such a wonderful spot to bring your kids. Highly recommend!

  Dr. Ryan and his team were knowledgeable, compassionate and motivated to help my daughter when she was seen as an emergency add on. Our old practice was unsympathetic and not nearly as accommodating which in hindsight was a blessing as we now have an amazing new dentist that I wish I had found years ago!

  When I say the best experience me n my son every had at the dentist we then found a new dentist home very professional very pleasant very time consuming Dr Ryan and his team is the best his last dentist office is only 7 minutes away from our house it takes me 21 minutes to get 3300 Henry Ave but it’s worth the drive and I will be taking it every 6 months for my son check up I’m so grateful and thankful for meeting them 😍
