Pediatric Dentistry for Teenagers

By age 12 most children have only adult teeth because all their baby teeth have fallen out.

Before Dr. Ryan was a pediatric dentist, he was a general dentist (adult dentist). So we see children up to age 17.

Age 17 is around the age most people’s wisdom teeth start to come in. Wisdom teeth are the “3rd molars”, and the last teeth to come into the mouth.

Pediatric Dental Excellence can determine if these teeth need to be removed, and provide you with a referral to an oral surgeon.

  I saw Dr Ryan at Pediatric Dental Excellence for my daughter’s very first dentist appointment. I was dreading a dentist appointment at her age, especially since she doesn’t like having her teeth cleaned at home.

From start to finish every person that we interacted with was wonderful. There was virtually no wait time for our appointment, but there was a really nice waiting room filled with toys, as well as a “non medical” looking room for her exam that made her feel super comfortable during the appointment

Dr Ryan was fantastic and I left feeling so confident and reassured with all of my questions, especially related to lip/tongue ties. He explained everything to me very throughly.

I am actually excited to bring my daughter back again in 6 months because she enjoyed it so much! Would highly recommend this dental practice.

  Everyone was amazing , very fast , there was someone available for all 3 of my kids , the dentist was quick to see each of them as well , and everyone was so patient with them and made each of my kids dental experience a great one! Even made me feel so comfortable and relaxed ! Definitely will be recommending them to friends & family & will continue returning for sure !

  Very friendly office. The staff is caring and polite. The doctor is very friendly and easy to talk with and shows a lot of care for the children. My girls enjoy going for their visits.
